The event will be held at:

Great Plains Technology Center

Worley Seminar Center, rm. 301

4500 SW Lee Blvd.

Lawton, OK 73505

For those who cannot attend the kickoff meeting, the Comanche County Broadband Committee is asking residents, business owners, ranchers, agriculture producers, first responders, community institutions, and health care officials to participate in a  brief 10-minute survey designed to assess internet needs and usage throughout the community.

Survey data will contribute to a community action plan tailored to the unique connectivity needs of the county. The plan will leverage community resources and identify solutions for improving internet connectivity for families, businesses, and community organizations.

Residents and businesses are encouraged to share their feedback beginning July 14. Respondants are asked to select the survey category or categories that represent them or their organization. You can access the survey by visiting: https://connectednation.org/comanche-county-oklahoma.

“Access to reliable, high-speed internet, both at home and at work, are critical to a person’s ability to keep up with the ever-changing technological landscape,” said Lance Alston, Information Technology Director for the Great Plains Technology Center. “Whether it’s a student’s need to access online resources, a farmer’s need to accurately track the weather, or a small business owner needing to quickly place an order for supplies, connectivity is a must. Please participate in the survey from your home or business network to help our county identify areas where internet services need to be added or improved.”
