Connected Nation will attempt to set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the “longest internet literacy livestream,” broadcasting live from Louisville, Ky., for 25 consecutive hours.
This is an official attempt. As such, the Guinness World Records organization has given Connected Nation a very clear set of guidelines that must be followed to become a world record holder.
For the purpose of this record and per the official guidelines, "an internet literacy live stream is where participants learn how to interact properly with various digital devices, learn skills in AI, internet safety, and cybersecurity along with other internet related topics."
The event will train learners live via streaming platforms, create on-demand resources for continued use, and advance global digital empowerment for communities most impacted by the Digital Divide.
It will be broadcast live and around the globe from Hatfield Media's studios located in Louisville, Ky.
Connected Nation is national nonprofit that works to expand access, adoption, and use of broadband (high-speed internet) and its related technologies to all people. The nonprofit is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2026.
So, it's very symbolic, i.e. 25 hours for 25 years of service.
