Connected Nation named among Best Places to Work for 11th time, continues to expand its workforce nationally
Bowling Green, Kentucky (March 9, 2022) – The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has once again named Connected Nation (CN) one of the Best Places to Work in Kentucky. This is the 11th time the national nonprofit, based in Bowling Green, Ky., has received the honor.
“We are thrilled to once again be recognized as a ‘Best Places to Work,’ ” said Tom Ferree, Chairman & CEO, CN. “This honor is particularly meaningful because it reflects the feedback and comments from the very people who make us the organization that we are — our employees. Our nation is at a critical time in the deployment of broadband into every corner of America, and the life-changing opportunities for individuals and communities that will result. Connected Nation is leading the way during this extraordinary time, but we know that we can only be as successful in this mission as we can inspire and compel our employees’ greatest efforts.
“We seek every day to be the kind of organization that is changing the world for the better and, for more than 20 years, we have been fortunate to be just that kind of organization because of our people!”
The Kentucky Chamber bases the selection process on an assessment of each company’s policies and procedures, and the results of an internal employee survey. Winners are placed in three categories: small, medium, and large companies.
Connected Nation falls into the small employer category (15-149 U.S. employees) and is looking to fill additional positions immediately. These job opportunities can be found at https://connectednation.org/careers/.
This is the 18th year for Best Places to Work competition. The alphabetical list of 2022 winners can be found here on the Kentucky Chamber’s website. The rankings in each business category will be announced June 9 during an awards dinner at the Center Bank Center in Lexington, Ky. Last year, CN ranked sixth in the small business category.
“I invite the public to explore our current career opportunities,” said Stephanie Rivera, Human Resources Manager, CN. “Although we are based in Kentucky, much of our workforce is remote — with employees working from locations across the country. Come join a team that is creating positive change in the world and for others, while also enjoying the proactive, supportive company culture of Connected Nation.”
