Sign up now for free digital skills training and remote job placement – The next class starts on June 15th
Fort Campbell, Kentucky (May 26, 2022) – Digital Works (DW), a program developed by national nonprofit Connected Nation (CN), is offering digital skill training and job placement assistance to KY residents and military spouses, veterans, veteran spouses, and active/transitioning soldiers living in the Fort Campbell area, includes part of Tennessee). Applications are now being accepted for the next class, which starts on June 15th.
DW was created to meet the growing demand for a skilled online labor force. The virtual training program offers grant-funded training and placement assistance for those seeking the digital skills needed to secure remote employment. The two-week class is provided at no cost to participants.
The program covers a variety of topics including typing, communication, customer service, technical skills, résumé building, and interviewing skills. Once participants complete the DW course, they are provided job placement assistance for online, remote positions.
“Preparation and research are everything when pursuing remote employment,” said Melissa Anderson, Fort Campbell Digital Works Facilitator. “The Digital Works program teaches participants about current remote hiring trends and helps them gain confidence in their career readiness, qualifications, and skills that are vital to success.”
