Connected Texas Lends Broadband Expertise to Texas Tribune's Demographic Change and the Digital Divide" Panel"

Today, Connected Texas' Executive Director Don Shirley will be participating in the first of three series presented by The Texas Tribune named "Demographic Change and the Digital Divide." The focus of this three-part series is the impact of the digital divide in a state with a fast-growing and rapidly changing population. 

Panelists with Shirley include Mark Strama, head of Google Fiber in Austin and a former state representative, D-Austin; State Rep. Larry Gonzales, R-Round Rock; and Juanita Budd, executive director of Austin Free-Net.

This event will be held in Bass Lecture Hall at the LBJ School of Public Affairs on the UT Austin campus. The conversation will also be livestreamed at texastribune.org/livestream (starting at noon), and the video will be accessible for viewing afterward on this event page
