Bowling Green, Ky. (April 24, 2019) – Connected Nation, Inc. (CN) has once again been named among the Best Places to Work in Kentucky—placing 6th in the small companies category. This is the 8th year the nonprofit has received the distinction which is awarded through the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

“To be named in the top ten among the Best Places to Work in Kentucky is a tremendous honor because it comes from our employees. They have said Connected Nation provides the support and environment they need to thrive,” said Tom Ferree, Chairman and CEO of CN. “All of us at Connected Nation work hard to create an organizational culture that encourages innovation, fosters creativity, and supports teamwork. We do this in an effort to fulfill our mission and tackle serious issues that affect families and communities across the U.S. To be recognized as an employer of choice means we can attract highly-skilled professionals who can help us do more for others.”

CN’s staff works directly with local, state, and federal leaders and stakeholders to identify solutions that expand the access, adoption, and use of broadband (high-speed internet) and its related technologies to all people. The company’s employees are dedicated to bringing access to all families, businesses, schools, and communities — both rural and urban.

This is the 15th year that the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management (KYSHRM) have identified the state’s best employers. The competition ranks companies in small, medium, and large categories. The selection process involves anonymous results from internal employee surveys.

Connected Nation was among 42 Kentucky companies in the small-sized employer category (15-149 U.S. employees) to receive this year’s honor. The official winner rankings within each category were announced Tuesday, April 23, during the annual Best Places to Work in Kentucky awards banquet held at Heritage Hall in the Lexington Convention Center.
