Bowling Green, Ky. (March 4, 2021) – The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has once again named Connected Nation (CN) one of the Best Places to Work. This is the 10th time the Kentucky-based, national nonprofit has been given the distinction.

“This year, Connected Nation is celebrating 20 years of service,” said Tom Ferree, Chairman & CEO, CN. “As we mark this major milestone, it is fitting that our employees again have said that this is one of the ‘Best Places to Work.’ Our focus as a nonprofit is rooted in digital equity and inclusion for all people. As we work to serve individuals and families in communities across the country, we also strive to be an example of a company that supports and empowers its employees. Indeed, the mission and shared values on which we built Connected Nation more than two decades ago continue to provide the compass and culture that drives our organization still today.”

Connected Nation was named one of the 2021 Best Places to Work in Kentucky in the small-sized employer category (those employing 15-149 U.S. employees).  A total of 40 companies were selected in the category.

“This honor demonstrates that Connected Nation is indeed an employer of choice,” said Stephanie Rivera, Human Resources Manager, CN. “It’s so important as we continue the difficult work to close the Digital Divide in America—a need that has been amplified by the pandemic. Being recognized this way allows us to attract other highly skilled and mission-minded professionals who can help us reach our goals of connecting every community.”

This is the 17th year for the competition, which is “designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence,” according to the Kentucky Chamber. Winners from across the state fall into three categories: small, medium, and large companies. The selection process is based on an assessment of each company’s policies and procedures, and the results of an internal employee survey.

The rankings in each category will be announced during an awards event on June 17, 2021. Last year, CN was named 5th in the small company category. To view the entire list of this year’s winners, head here: https://www.kychamber.com/16th-annual-best-places-work-kentucky-unranked-winners.
