Connected Nation and AT&T announce initiative to equip Bowling Green parents and guardians with 100 laptops and digital skills training

Bowling Green, Ky. (February 26, 2026) – Connected Nation (CN), AT&T, and the Bowling Green Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA) today announced a community initiative to equip parents and guardians of students in local school systems with 100 laptops and digital skills training.

The first training session, taking place today at the BGCA facility, pairs hands-on learning with the distribution of 50 laptops to participating parents and guardians, while a second session scheduled for March 25 will provide an additional 50 devices to expand access and continued digital skills development for local families.

The devices were made available through a community investment from AT&T with Compudopt overseeing the refurbishment and preparation of the laptops to ensure participants received reliable, high-quality equipment.

“We were incredibly grateful for this opportunity made possible by CN, AT&T, and our other partners,” said Liz Bernard Clark, Chief Executive Officer of the Bowling Green Boys & Girls Club. “Our mission is to help all young people in the Bowling Green area reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens, and access to digital resources is a critical part of that mission. These classes and devices helped equip our community members to thrive in education, the workforce, and everyday life.”

The event also highlights the BGCA’s role as Kentucky’s first AT&T Connected Learning Center, launched in 2025. Workshops will be facilitated by CN staff alongside local youth mentors participating in Teens Teach Tech, powered by AT&T.

As part of the initiative, a local Teens Teach Tech team is being established to support the March training session and continue providing digital skills assistance to families beyond the initial workshops, helping sustain learning and confidence within the community.

“This event represented the perfect collaboration of resources and community leadership,” said Carlos Sanchez, President, AT&T Kentucky. “Through AT&T’s device distribution program, CN’s Teens Teach Tech program, powered by AT&T, and the hands-on training hosted at the state’s inaugural AT&T Connected Learning Center, we were able to deliver more than just technology — we helped foster opportunity. When trusted local partners come together with a shared mission, the impact on individuals and communities can be truly transformational."

The initiative reflects CN’s nationwide commitment to expanding digital access and opportunity. Through its programs, the nonprofit has helped equip nearly 150,000 individuals with essential digital skills and has impacted more than 21 million people across the country.

“We founded our organization here in Kentucky 25 years ago this very month,” said Tom Ferree, Chairman and CEO, CN. “Because of our long-standing roots in this community, it was especially meaningful to bring these opportunities to individuals across Western Kentucky. There is a significant need for digital skills training and access to devices, and this work would not have been possible without the support of AT&T and the many organizations that partnered with us on this effort.”
