Bowling Green, Ky. (May 22, 2025) – Connected Nation (CN) has earned another national accolade for its award-winning podcast— Connected Nation. The podcast earned an Award of Distinction from the 31st Annual Communicator Awards in the “Podcast Series – Science and Technology” category. 

This marks the fourth time the podcast has received national honors for excellence in content and production.

“Every episode of the Connected Nation Podcast is designed with a singular focus — making broadband and technology topics more approachable and more meaningful for our listeners,” said Jessica Denson, Communications Director, CN. “This award validates our team’s ongoing effort to tell powerful stories that highlight how broadband access, or the lack thereof impacts everything from education and health care to job opportunities and public safety.”

The CN Podcast has continued to grow in both listenership and recognition. It features conversations with policymakers, educators, industry leaders, and everyday Americans — all focused on understanding and working to closing the Digital Divide.

“The conversations we’re capturing — whether it’s with a teen helping seniors navigate technology or a state broadband leader mapping out funding challenges — are incredibly impactful,” Denson added. “We’re grateful to the Communicator Awards for once again recognizing our work.”

The Award of Distinction is presented to projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement. It is one of the most respected honors in communications and is sanctioned by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA). AIVA is an invitation-only body of top-tier professionals from leading organizations including Amazon, Disney, ESPN, IBM, Spotify, and Time, Inc.

In addition to this year’s honor, the Connected Nation Podcast won an Award of Excellence in 2024, AIVA’s highest honor given, and two previous Awards of Distinction in 2023 and 2022.
