Accelerating the Deployment of High-Speed Internet Access
FCC Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee Meeting Held

Washington, D.C. (June 13, 2019) - The Federal Communications Commission is taking steps to accelerate the deployment of broadband to more communities.
Today, the re-chartered Broadband Deployment Advisory Committee (BDAC) is meeting in Washington, D.C. It's the first meeting since BDAC was reconstituted by FCC Chairman Ajit Pai. Members of the committee include representatives from providers, nonprofits, and government associations.
Connected Nation Chairman & CEO, Tom Ferree, sits on the committee who focus aligns with CN's mission. The nonprofit works to provide innovative solutions to expand access, adoption, and use of high-speed internet (broadband) and its related technologies to all people.
According to the FCC’s website, “the Committee is intended to provide an effective means for stakeholders with interests in this area to exchange ideas and develop recommendations for the Commission, which will in turn enhance the Commission’s ability to carry out its statutory responsibility to encourage broadband deployment to all Americans.”
