Teens Teach Tech, powered by AT&T, takes on the FBLA National Leadership Conference
Anaheim, Calif. (July 15, 2025) — Connected Nation (CN) recently participated in the FBLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) in Anaheim, Calif., by hosting a booth. CN staff members were there to promote the Teens Teach Tech (TTT), powered by AT&T program to potential new students, as well as connect with existing teams from across the country.
Launched by CN in collaboration with AT&T, Teens Teach Tech empowers teens to become digital skills trainers, but the benefits of the program go far beyond teaching tech skills. It’s about building confidence, creating meaningful connections, and bridging the Digital Divide in a way that impacts both the teen participants and the communities they serve. The program also offers fundraising help for school clubs like FBLA.
“The 2025 FBLA NLC was a fantastic opportunity to share the Teens Teach Tech, powered by AT&T, initiative with young leaders hyped to find service-learning opportunities to grow their leadership skills and strengthen their own communities,” said CN Program Coordinator Jessica Golson. “Armed with our own excitement and passion for the project, Kiersten Rucker and I delivered workshops to over 200 FBLA students and advisors about the benefits of the Teens Teach Tech initiative.”
In addition to the workshops, over 200 students and advisors visited the TTT booth to learn more about the program during the two-and-a-half-day event. Plus, members of 10 current TTT teams stopped by to speak with CN staff.
“Hearing the stories of these teams firsthand, getting the opportunity to shake their hands, and learning about how TTT has helped shape their lives was inspiring to say the least,” said Golson. “They expressed their extreme gratitude for the program, how it has helped them to develop their own presentation skills, project management and teamwork abilities, and made them better leaders.”
One of the teams in attendance, the FBLA Digital Dogs from Waldron High School in Waldron, Ark., spoke with the CN staff members about how Teens Teach Tech has impacted them.
“If you're faced with the opportunity to get involved in Teens Teach Tech — do it, it’s a game changer,” shared one member of the FBLA Digital Dogs. “We would not be here today without this program. It took so much of a burden off our shoulders, and it made everything that had to do with fundraising so much easier, and I cannot thank them enough.”
“We got to help our community and teach the people that we know and love about tech, plus we made an impact,” added that same team member. “That felt really good! Everything about this program is just amazing.”
“Without the Teens Teach Tech program, it would've been so much harder to raise all the money to get everyone out here to the FBLA National Leadership Conference. So, thank you!” said another member of the FBLA Digital Dogs team.
Judging by the impact they’ve had so far, there is no doubt that every one of the current TTT teams is destined to better the world and be part of the movement to bridge the Digital Divide in their own unique way.
Teens Teach Tech gives young people the opportunity to build valuable skills, raise funds for their chapters or clubs, and make a meaningful impact in their communities. It’s a win-win program — easy to launch and ready when you are.
