Sharing broadband progress with rural America: Inside CN’s BEAD Tracker
Washington, D.C. (October 24, 2025) – Connected Nation’s (CN) BEAD Tracker is a helpful tool for anyone who wants to follow the progress of Final Proposals in the National Telecommunications Information Administration’s (NTIA) Broadband, Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program.
The tracker is especially helpful to those in rural areas without a reliable connection to high-speed internet. State leaders and residents can look at the dashboard to see how the funds are being allocated in their state and which technologies will be offered.
CN’s Colin Reilly, VP of Data Strategy & Technical Services, was recently interviewed by RFD-TV about the newly launched BEAD Tracker.
“It’s really tracking the National Telecommunications Information Administration’s BEAD program – its allocation of $42 billion across the U.S. and each state that submits a proposal on how those funds will be allocated,” he said.
Reilly discussed why the BEAD Tracker is important in rural areas and explained how to use this simple tool. He shared how it consolidates information from other websites, so users don’t have to go searching for it. The dashboard also contains charts and graphs to help viewers visualize the data.
“We’re trying to track across the U.S. the technology distribution, which providers are receiving funding. So, it’s a way of being able to consolidate all that information that’s at individual state websites,” Reilly said.
