Coryell County, City of Valentine Receive Technology Action Plans

Coryell County and the City of Valentine now have action plans to make way for greater technology use across each community, paving the way for a brighter economic future.

Coryell’s Technology Action Plan was unveiled October 30 during a celebration in the Old Commissioner’s Courtroom in Gatesville, and the City of Valentine received its Technology Action Plan on October 25 as part of their participation in the Connected Community Engagement Program through Connected Texas. Forty Texas communities are currently involved in some stage of the Connected program.

Participating in the Connected program means Coryell County and the City of Valentine have gone through an extensive assessment of their overall broadband and technology innovation. The Technology Action Plans set general community-wide broadband connectivity requirements to be worked toward that will support economic development and residential quality of life. The new plans give the communities step-by-step action items to aid in future broadband expansion and develop programs that will ensure the community maintains widespread Internet access, adoption, and use.

Congratulations to both communities. Check out photos from Coryell County’s celebration here.
