Connected Nation celebrates the opening of the new AT&T Connected Learning Center in Nashville, Tennessee

Nashville, Tennessee (February 21, 2024) - On February 20, AT&T opened a new Connected Learning Center inside the Preston Taylor branch of Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT) in Nashville to provide free access to digital resources, including high-speed AT&T Fiber internet, Wi-Fi and Dell Technologies computers. A few Connected Nation staff members were in attendance for the celebration: Board Member, Chairman, and CEO Tom Ferree; Executive VP of Digital Inclusion, Heather Gate; and Human Resources Manager, Melanie Hatfield. 

In addition to the digital resources, AT&T made a $50,000 contribution to BGCMT for programming support and distributed 100 free laptops to students served by BGCMT. This Connected Learning Center is the first in Nashville and in Tennessee. It offers free access to digital resources, including high-speed AT&T Fiber internet, Wi-Fi and Dell computers. It also provides educational resources such as The Achievery, a free digital learning platform by AT&T, and free digital literacy courses in partnership with the Public Library Association. Tutoring and mentoring are also provided by AT&T employees and community leaders.
