Advancing connectivity: Reflections on the 2024 Broadband Communities Summit
The Woodlands, Texas (May 21st, 2024) – Thousands of the brightest minds in broadband came together for the 2024 Broadband Communities Summit to discuss current challenges and opportunities for digital equity and broadband access, adoption, and use.
Among those in attendance, Connected Nation’s (CN) broadband and digital inclusion experts. Throughout the week, CN made a significant impact through participation and insightful contributions. Our Executive Vice President of Digital Inclusion, Heather Gate, took center stage on a panel discussing how to make broadband more affordable and accessible for everyone. Her insights highlighted solutions to bridge the digital divide, ensuring that connectivity reaches all communities, regardless of socioeconomic status. Additionally, Brent Legg, our Executive Vice President of Government Affairs, engaged in a forward-thinking panel about the current landscape of and prospects for Internet Exchange Points (IXPs), emphasizing their critical role in enhancing network performance and reliability.
