Digital Works Hit 1,000 Job Placements: Here’s How They Celebrated

Fort Campbell, Ky (August 12, 2020) - Last Thursday, Aug. 6, Digital Works (DW) and Connected Nation (CN) employees gathered to celebrate the major milestone of hitting 1,000 job placements. The celebration took place at the Digital Works location in Oak Grove, Ky., across from Fort Campbell, where classes for military spouses and veterans were launched in February 2020.

The celebration was broadcast live for any staff, graduates, and supporters who wanted to join in on the festivities virtually. Connected Nation CEO Tom Ferree attended via Zoom to congratulate everyone who made this milestone a reality.

“The Digital Works program addresses the need to provide employment opportunities in areas that have seen a loss in jobs,” said Ferree. “It has provided a viable solution for those looking for work—even during a pandemic. It has helped people from just about every walk of life, including single parents, young adults, senior citizens needing additional income, and our nation’s military spouses and veterans.”

Along with Ferree, many other important members of the program were in attendance including: Connected Nation CFO Bernie Bogle; Digital Works Operations Manager Tammy Spring; DW Fort Campbell Facilitator Jessica Golson; and DW Proctor Chantel Cooke.

A few awards were given out during the event, including one to Courtney Anaeki, the graduate who filled the 1,000thjob placement, and one to Tammy Spring for her outstanding efforts while leading the program to success.

“As we celebrate 1,000 jobs created, we’re confident that with the right partners and participants, we can match talent with the opportunity to create another 1,000 or even 10,000 new jobs,” said Bogle. “I’d like to invite others to join us in expanding the Digital Works program and expanding remote job opportunities to more people, particularly now due to COVID-19, as people need viable remote job options more than ever.”

We would like to thank everyone who attended in person and virtually for making this day special for the Digital Works program!
