Connected Nation’s Ashley Patterson to serve as Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP) President-Elect

Bowling Green, Kentucky (October 19, 2022) – Ashley Patterson, Senior Geospatial Technician at Connected Nation (CN), was elected by the Kentucky Association of Mapping Professionals (KAMP) as President-Elect at its 2022 conference in Lexington, Kentucky.

“We are so proud of Ashley in being elected by the KAMP membership to serve as President-Elect for the association next year,” said Ashley Hitt, Vice President of GeoAnalytics, Connected Nation. “She brings such great energy and passion to the geospatial industry, wanting to help people and communities however she can. I know she will be great in this position.”


KAMP’s mission is to foster an understanding and improve the management of geospatial information throughout Kentucky. Patterson previously held the Membership Chair position from 2020 to 2022. She will serve as President-Elect through the end 2023, then step into the President’s role in 2024.


Patterson’s work at CN supports broadband mapping across states, counties, and local communities. She is responsible for processing and analyzing various spatial data related to broadband service areas and demographic information.


She also assists in preparing data for further analysis by the CN GeoAnalytics team and data to be used by the Engineering and Technical Services (ETS) team in field validation activities. In addition, Patterson provides support with deliverables production, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing workflows. Her previous work experience includes data acquisition, web maps and applications publication, and data quality assurance and quality control.
