Happy Hour with Black Tech Columbus

Columbus, OH. (May 15, 2019) - On Thursday, May 23, Black Tech Columbus is hosting a happy hour to network during the Central Ohio InfoSec Summit. It will take place at the Hyatt Regency Columbus Hotel on 350 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio.

Black Tech Columbus is a community of black technologist providing a platform for learning, growing, and connecting in the technology space. Their mission is to expand the network of Black technologist in the Columbus area, especially as it relates to the field of Information Security, where there are so many Happy Hour 300x149opportunities for both those already in the field, and those looking to enter.

Doug McCullough is the Chief Information Officer of the city of Dublin, Ohio. Last year, recognizing the need to encourage and support African American communities through technology jobs and resources, McCollough joined forces with other African American technology professionals to form Black Tech Columbus.

For the group, there are no limits as long as efforts are related to technology. Black Tech Columbus is doing everything from youth hack-a-thons to teach kids what they can do with technology, to events explaining blockchain, to helping big companies establish better recruiting relationships with communities of color.

The point is to give everyone from African American kids to black business owners a safe space to ask questions, access resources, get new information, and so much more.

So whether you are new in your technology career or a well-seasoned professional – come out and connect with us on Thursday, May 23rd from 5:30 - 8 pm during our Happy Hour at The Hyatt Regency!
