Great Women of Connected Nation

Bowling Green, KY (March 16, 2021) - There are many amazing women with whom I work every day at Connected Nation. So many, in fact, that it is challenging to pick only a few to highlight. I could choose to tell you about the two women who make me look like I’m really good at my job: Samantha Bailey and Stephanie Rivera both go above and beyond to achieve excellence in their respective fields. I could tell you about the women who give their hearts to nurturing and encouraging others to achieve more than they thought possible through Connected Nation’s Digital Works job training and placement program: Tammy Spring, Jess Golson, and Chantel Cooke.

Perhaps I should tell you about the women who keep us on track and organized in so many ways, like Lindsay Conrad, Kim Furca, Gina Lindsey, Tanisha Osborne, Claudia Rico, and Christy White. When they say, “Jump,” you know our response! I should tell you about the women at CN who so effectively tell the stories of broadband and its importance and impact, whether it is to the public — like Jessica Denson and Lily McCoy — or to potential funders like Mackenzie Orr. I might tell you about the women working diligently every day in Texas to expand internet access, adoption, and use throughout the state: Jennifer Harris and Pam Waggoner.

Then there’s Ashley Hitt and Amanda Bentley, who accurately and granularly map broadband service areas to empower states and communities to make better data-driven decisions. Also, you might want to know about how impressive Heather Gate and Emily Jordan are as they respectively fight for digital inclusion at both the national level through the Federal Communication Commission’s Advisory Committee on Diversity and Digital Empowerment as well as at the national, state, and local level for connectivity for K-12 students.

I must mention our Board Member and the Founder of Kids Impact Initiative, Wendy Lazarus.  Connected Nation is so very fortunate to have the wisdom, insight, and guidance of Wendy on our Board. She has been an advocate and policy expert for decades on a wide range of children’s issues, including digital equity and inclusion.

It is truly my honor to work together with the great women of Connected Nation as we march onward, arm-in-arm, to accomplish our mission of improving lives by providing innovative solutions that expand the access, adoption, and use of high-speed internet to all people. Because we believe that Everyone Belongs in a Connected Nation.
