Connected Nation supports national rally, joins call for Congress to renew the Affordable Connectivity Program
Washington, DC (April 30, 2024) – Tom Ferree, Chairman & CEO of Connected Nation, issued the following statement regarding the current wind down of the Affordable Connectivity Program:
“We lend our voice to those rallying in Washington today for the preservation of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). It must be renewed. It is an understatement to say that losing this benefit would impact the daily lives of the most vulnerable among us—the 23.3 million people who rely on internet access for their jobs, healthcare, education, and so much more. Internet access isn’t just a luxury; it’s the lifeblood of our society. Congress must find a sustainable path forward and preserve this benefit for those who have come to rely upon it.”
