Connected Nation Staff Participates in United Way Week of Caring
Bowling Green, KY (July 30, 2020) - This week, Connected Nation (CN) is taking part in the United Way Week of Caring, a weeklong event of local organizations giving back and volunteering in their communities. CN staff members via the Corporate Responsibility Taskforce (CRTF) are excited to continue a long tradition of volunteering for United Way SOKY.
“The Goal of the CRTF is to promote Connected Nation’s commitment to giving back, being responsible stewards of resources, and leaving a positive mark on the communities in which we live and work,” said CN Director of Digital Inclusion Heather Gate.
In previous years, CN has volunteered at Top Crops, a Western Kentucky University farm that offers training and educational opportunities for adults with special needs. This year, the staff elected to participate on Senior Care Day during the United Way’s Week of Caring. We will be delivering flowers to Village Manor's Independent Living care department in Bowling Green, Ky. We hope these flowers will brighten the day for Village Manor’s residents.
We will also be sharing articles on our social media accounts about other volunteer opportunities that United Way is offering during the Week of Caring. You can keep up with us by following our Twitter and Facebook accounts.
