Connected Nation and Second Lady's Staff Discuss Military Families

Washington, D.C. (June 6, 2019) - Connected Nation visited the offices of the Second Lady of the United States, Karen Pence, today to discuss the needs of military families.

Retired Col. Blaine Hedges joined CN's Chairman & CEO, Tom Ferree, and Vice President of Government Affairs, Brent Legg, for the visit. The trio met with Mrs. Pence's staff members to discuss the employment needs of military spouses.

Mrs. Pence is actively working to help military families. That includes considering ways to improve their job training and opportunities. Connected Nation has helped military spouses and veterans through its Digital Works program.

Col. Hedges serves as the Kentucky Cabinet on Military Affairs Executive Director. He was also appointed as the Commissioner of the State Council for Kentucky’s Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission (MIC3).
