Get a job that moves with you: Digital Works now offering grant-funded digital skills and remote job placement services at no cost to participants

Fort Campbell, Kentucky (April 7, 2022) – Digital Works (DW), a program developed by the national nonprofit Connected Nation (CN), is offering digital skills training and job placement assistance to all Kentucky state residents, as well as Fort Campbell-area military-affiliated adults (spouses, veterans, and transitioning service members), at no cost to them thanks to funding provided by the Kentucky Statewide Reserve fund.

This program offers training in customer service, sales, basic technical skills, and career readiness, which includes interviewing, résumé/cover letter creation, networking, and mentoring. It also provides job placement support focused on remote, work-from-home employment. 

Training sessions are held monthly, completed in two weeks, and are 100% virtual via Zoom. A facilitator will help trainees gain or refresh the professional skills that remote-friendly employers are actively seeking.

“The Digital Works team is committed to providing the most current and relevant digital skills and best practices to our program participants and supporting community,” says Connected Nation VP of Digital Inclusion, Heather Gate. “We love that our graduates are able to earn an income online, and we want them to be able to navigate the internet safely and with confidence.”

A program certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the training, as well as an opportunity to sit for a nationally recognized customer service and sales specialist certification. Graduates also benefit from access to the Digital Works vetted list of employers.
