Connected Nation Cares: Staff Participates in Season of Giving

Bowling Green, KY. (December 10, 2019) - Connected Nation believes in helping others and giving back to communities. During 2019, CN staff members volunteered for charities and nonprofits in their communities for a total of 762 hours. They also walked or ran 495.5 miles for charity. This holiday season, our staff will finish out the year by participating in the annual Season of Giving.

During the holidays, families and individuals are encouraged to give to others by volunteering for or donating to a local charity. CN staff members take part in the Season of Giving every year to show support for their communities.

“All of us at Connected Nation are working for this company because we believe, at the core, in helping others,” said Jessica Denson, Communications Director. “But that is not just lived out through our work. Our staff works across the country in different towns and states, and each of us have causes within our communities that matter to us. I love learning how my coworkers are helping children, families in need, and even shelter pets.  We are encouraged and supported to give back to our communities and even given time off to volunteer—proving, once again, that Connected Nation is a great place to work.”

This year, Connected Nation is participating in Operation Christmas Child and sponsoring a family. Operation Christmas Child is a volunteer opportunity to donate a shoe-box full of toys to a child in need. So far, CN has contributed a total of nine shoe-boxes. This project has been putting smiles on kids’ faces for more than 20 years. That’s why CN is proud to volunteer for a great project with an even better mission.

Tammy Spring, Operations Manager for Digital Works, and her family also are giving back by sponsoring three households for Christmas.

Last year, Tammy’s family started the new tradition in memory of their late patriarch. During his life, he was a meat cutter, and as such provided food for holiday meals to hundreds of thousands of people. With the help of Giant Eagle and the Salvation Army, they kept his memory alive and continued on with his mission by providing holiday meals to multiple families last December. This year, they are again working with the Salvation Army to feed families in need for the holidays. In a show of support, CN will be donating money to feed three households.

Connected Nation cares and wants to show its dedication to helping others. We encourage everyone to give back this season and wish you and your loved ones happy holidays! Below are a few photos from the Operation Christmas Child shoe-boxes.
