Definitions

Census Block:The smallest geographic area delineated by the United States Census Bureau.

Community Anchor Institution: Schools, libraries, medical and healthcare providers, public safety etities, community colleges and other institutions of higher education, and other community support organizations and entities.

Service Area: The broadband service "footprint" or entirety of a geographic area where a connection to broadband internet can be provided within 7-10 business days.

Broadband: Data transmission technology that provides two-way transmission to and from the Internet with advertised speeds of at least 768 kilobits per second (kbps) downstream and at least 200 kbps upstream to end users.

Road Segment: Generally defines part of a street between two intersections with a unique identifier (name or number) and set address range.
