Bowling Green, Kentucky (April 13, 2023) – Connected Nation (CN)’s Communications team was named this week as a national finalist for Team of the Year (In-House) in PR Daily’s Social Media & Digital Awards.
“There is no doubt that the success of our mission is in direct proportion to our effectiveness as a communicator,” said Tom Ferree, Chairman & CEO, CN. “Whether it be in policy advocacy or in moving a community to action, our organization’s ability to engage and inspire our audience is a critical skill. We are fortunate at Connected Nation to have one of the most creative, hardworking teams in the industry, and that is clearly shown by this week’s announcement.”
CN’s Communications department is among three national finalists for Team of the Year (In-House) in the Grand Prize category. The winner will be announced during a luncheon at New York City’s Yale Club on Wednesday, June 14.
“It’s an honor for us to be recognized among the best of the best in the country, and for our work to be acknowledged by our peers,” said Jessica Denson, Communications Director, CN. “But even more importantly, this honor shows that the Communications team is effectively reaching more audiences — raising awareness about Connected Nation’s critical and timely mission to expand the access, adoption, and use of high-speed internet and its related technologies to all people.”
Denson leads the team, which includes Lily McCoy, Communications Social Media Specialist; Ashley Pino, Marketing Communications Specialist; and Grant Ahlbrand, Marketing and Communications Intern. The team is supported by two contract copy editors, Amy Higgs of Write is Might and freelancer Linda Crossman, and two graphic designers, Carrie Foster of Good Girl Graphics and Scott Smith of Solo Creative.
