Connected Nation’s digital training program to host a virtual ‘Digital Works Internet Safety Workshop’ on April 28

Fort Campbell, Kentucky (April 26, 2022) – Digital Works, a program developed by the national nonprofit Connected Nation (CN), is opening the door to remote employment opportunities for Kentucky residents and the Fort Campbell military community by providing in-demand digital skills training at no cost to participants. Digital Works’ training is offered to adult Kentucky residents plus military spouses, veterans, veteran spouses, and transitioning soldiers living in the Fort Campbell area. Remote and portable employment allows those in the military community to take their jobs with them as they move to new locations and often allows for desirable, flexible scheduling.

Thanks to the generous funding provided by the Kentucky Statewide Reserve fund, participants can enroll in DW’s current course free of charge. Training is 100% virtual, lasts two weeks, and covers a variety of marketable skills such as typing, communication, customer service, résumé building, interviewing, and the digital, technical skills needed to stand out when applying for jobs. Upon successful completion of the course, trainees are provided with customized job placement assistance and access to the Digital Works vetted list of employers.
