Connected Nation congratulates Alan Davidson on his Senate confirmation as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information & NTIA Administrator

Washington, DC (January 12, 2022) – Tom Ferree, Chairman & CEO of Connected Nation, issued the following statement congratulating Alan Davidson on his confirmation by the United States Senate as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information & Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA):

“We are on the precipice of an unprecedented opportunity to close the Digital Divide in this country and bring the promise of better connectivity to every American.  Congress has charged the NTIA with leading that effort and has appropriated funding at a level that finally puts that goal within reach.  The role of NTIA Administrator has therefore never been more critical.”

“On behalf of Connected Nation, I would like to congratulate Alan Davidson on his confirmation by the United States Senate to lead this very important federal agency.  He brings the right combination of public and private sector experience—gleaned over his two decades of government, corporate, and non-profit work—to  ensure that NTIA’s broadband grant programs have the greatest possible impact.  We look forward to working with him and his team to build a more connected future for everyone.”
