Broadband Field Validation Specialist with Driver

The Broadband Field Validation Specialist conducts targeted field work and desktop research for Connected Nation’s broadband mapping and technical services projects. The Broadband Field Validation Specialist will assist with outside plant audits of wireline infrastructure, mapping such wireline routes, which in turn contribute to the development of field validated maps of broadband infrastructure assets (with an emphasis on wide area broadband networks capable of delivering 100/100 Mbps connections). The Broadband Field Validation Specialist also conducts field validation, verification, and data collection for outside plant audits. It is preferred that the Broadband Field Validation Specialist can immediately sub-contract a Driver (meeting CN’s approved criteria) that will support the Broadband Field Validation Specialist by operating an all-wheel drive, 4-wheel drive (or other comparable motor vehicle), under the guidance and direction of the Broadband Field Manager or the Broadband Field Validation Specialist. In the event that the Broadband Field Validation Specialist is unable to do so, a Driver will be assigned, by CN, to support the work of the Broadband Field Validation Specialist (see supplemental job description for the Driver). The Driver may be chosen and subcontracted by the Broadband Field Validation Specialist at a rate of $15.00 per hour, that will be expensed and reimbursed to the Broadband Field Validation Specialist.
