Don’t Let Your Community Be Left Out: Surveys on Broadband Access in Ohio Close This Week

303a Ohio Full Pos 300x250Columbus, OH (November 18, 2019) – There are only a couple of days left to provide input about your community’s high-speed internet (broadband) access. Connected Nation Ohio (CN Ohio) is using online surveys to gather input from communities about their broadband access. The information gathered will be used to better identify ways to improve access for all Ohioans.

Make sure that your neighborhood or community is included as new plans are made to expand technology across the state. The last day to fill out the surveys is this Wednesday, November 20.

You can find the survey online at https://www.myconnectedcommunity.org/. Simply choose your county and follow the prompts.

“At last count, residents and businesses in almost every single county in Ohio had provided input. Only three have still not provided input for the broadband surveys—Defiance, Logan, and Williams counties,” said Eric Frederick, VP of Community Affairs, Connected Nation. “This data will be used to identify the areas that lack access to affordable, high-speed internet and to find solutions to expand that access, so it’s critically important to get as many people as possible to share their input. That’s why we invite all Ohioans to visit our website and join the conversation by providing both feedback and input on the state of broadband in your area.”

Since 2008, CN Ohio, a local subsidiary of Connected Nation, has worked to raise awareness and identify ways to expand access to broadband to millions of people across the Buckeye State. These surveys are part of the non-profit’s new phase in its mapping, technical assistance, and analysis for the state.
