Under the guidance of Connected Nation, the State Program Director of Connected Texas will provide primary management and administrative project oversight and support for Connected Texas’s state strategy. This includes developing and leading a coordinated initiative for broadband capacity building, broadband inventory mapping, local and regional technology planning, research on broadband and related technology adoption, broadband policy analysis and technical assistance; all of which will ultimately lead to increased broadband availability, utilization, and digital literacy. The incumbent will work with Connected Nation’s strategy and policy teams to develop, review, and deliver the appropriate corporate messages on state level advocacy. In addition, the State Program Director will be responsible for the program’s development and sustainability and for implementing strategies for outreach and awareness of the program and its impact among broadband stakeholders at the state, regional, and local levels.
