VIDEO: DIGITAL WORKS: A BETTER APPROACH TO WORKFORCE, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Columbus, Oh. (May 23, 2018) – Digital Works is a workforce and economic development planning program of Connected Nation (CN). Stu Johnson, VP of Digital Works, explains to RFD-TV the importance of Digital Inclusion in rural areas - and how it can help provide jobs.

“Telework, remote work, and free-lance solo work are the fastest growing segment of the work force” said Johnson. “There are virtually thousands of global employers looking for folks that have the aptitude and attitude to do this kind of work. All we do is bridge that gap.”

Johnson was invited to speak with RFD-TV about (CN’s) approach to workforce development, within the Digital Works program, as part of Digital Inclusion Week, which took place May 7-11, 2018.

Digital Works programs connect people to jobs by providing training, mentorship, and job placement assistance. These programs are already being utilized in Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, New Mexico and Kansas.
