Bowling Green, Ky. (January 18, 2018) – Connected Nation, Inc. has once again been named among the Best Places to Work in Kentucky. This is the 8th year that the nonprofit has received the distinction.
“This honor reflects not only our commitment to our mission but to our staff,’” said Tom Ferree, Chairman and CEO for Connected Nation. “We make a point to hire talented people who are encouraged to use their skillsets to find new ways to solve complicated problems—all while we work as a team, supporting one another. We believe that everyone belongs in a connected nation and to achieve that goal we must continue to create a workplace where innovation and creative problem-solving can take place.”
“We are honored to once again be recognized as one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ in Kentucky. It is a pleasure and privilege to work with such a talented and dedicated team on a daily basis,” said Mandi Thomas, Manager of Human Resources for Connected Nation.
Based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Connected Nation works across the U.S. at the local, state, and federal level to empower individuals and communities through increased access, adoption, and use of broadband (high-speed internet) by working to close the Digital Divide. The company’s employees are dedicated to bringing access to all families, businesses, schools, and communities.
It’s the 14th year that the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and KYSHRM have identified the state’s best employers. The competition ranks companies in small, medium, and large categories. The selection process involves the anonymous results from internal employee surveys.
Connected Nation is among 39 Kentucky companies in the small-sized employer category (15-149 U.S. employees) to receive this year’s honor. The official rankings within each category will be announced on Tuesday, April 17 during the annual Best Places to Work awards banquet held in Lexington.
